Well, I just joined BlogRush (still in Beta at the time of this post)… The more observant among you may have noticed their widget on the right side of my theme. The idea is that by my RSS titles getting displayed on the other blogs that are in the BlogRush network, I will get a traffic increase… I will have to wait and see how this goes

Well, it looks like the whole technorati favourites exchange is really taking off.

A new site, Favourite.me, has been set up in order to automate the exchange of Technorati favourites, so those who still need more favorites, can now do it more easily. the user interface still needs a bit of work, but the site is still very new.

(Sorry for the extra-short post, but I thought that this would be usefull to a lot of people, and there really is not that much to say about the service)

Sorry for being silent for so long… My offline life has been insane for the past couple of weeks, but things have calmed down a bit.

I realised a couple of things about the Technorati exchange:

1. People involved in the exchange do not always give the correct links… A couple of times they have put links in their comments to their favourites page, without giving me an easy way add them to my favourites… I normally just add them anyway, but in the future, make it as easy as possible for people to favourite you.
2. I am planning to start a niche blog, and I realised that the Technorati exchange idea will nt work for it, since my technorati account already has all the exchange-willing favourited, and I can only favourite each person once… I guess I could get a new account, but I am pretty sure that Technorati will not be happy about that.

Well, there are my thoughts. I know I have been participating in way to many link/traffic building posts without providing real content, but this will change soon.

A note for all of those participating in the Technorati Favorite Exchange: Check your spam plugin. I have just looked at mine, and found 6 messages from various people who have given a favorite to my blog, but for some reason Akismet decided that they were spam.

It always pays to check the spam folder, especially while you are still ‘training’ Akismet.
