Getting an Overseas account

While I do have accounts in two countries at the moment (Serbia and South Africa), simply because of having moved around so much, I still want to open another account in one of the more ‘mainstream’ countries. I am thinking of the U.K., since I am not sure how much I trust the US banks at the moment. Of course, most EU member countries would be fine, since my main requirement is an account where I can easily receive money from ClickBank.

So, does anybody have any suggestions? I have looked into Barclays Bank, but their initial deposit of 5000 pounds put me of. Standard Bank has one with a 5000 euro deposit, but that still seems a bit high, though doable.

My main requirements (in order of importance)

• Easy deposits
• Internet access to my account
• Stable Bank
• Low transaction and monthly costs
• Debit card availability
• Interest on balances
