Children
As some of you might know, I have a two year old daughter. She is very sweet and cute, and very very good at driving me insane at times.
The fact is, she is the main reason that I have neglected this blog for close to two years… At least that is what I told myself.
When I decided to be honest with myself, I had to admit that it was not her, but me that used her as an excuse not to pursue my goals and dreams. While being a parent is one of the most challenging things that I have undertaken in my life, it does not give me permission to simply drop every other aspect of my life.
I have discovered that I am a better father when I take the time to focus on other things as well, on improving my life and reaching for my own dreams.
I have seen way too many people that “get stuck” once they have children, and stop heading anywhere in life. I almost became one of them myself. I think it is important to keep moving forward in life, to keep trying new thing and to keep setting goals that take us further.
So, if you are a parent, and using that as an excuse to prevent you from building up a buisness of your own, stop it! You can always find the time, even children sleep sometimes, and you will have a better relationship with them if you feel fulfilled in yourself.
Some people say that taking care of children is full 24 hour job without any rest. Well I think both mother and father can easily manage on how to grow up their child comfortably and continue their normal life.
