Technorati Fave Exchange (Update and Warning)
A note for all of those participating in the Technorati Favorite Exchange: Check your spam plugin. I have just looked at mine, and found 6 messages from various people who have given a favorite to my blog, but for some reason Akismet decided that they were spam.
It always pays to check the spam folder, especially while you are still ‘training’ Akismet.

That tricky Akismet, it isnt quite perfect and I have had a lot of random hiccups, including messages being marked as spam for no apparent reason. It wouldnt be a huge problem if there were less spam but it’s so hard to monitor hundreds of spam messages.
One solution is to use Spam Karma, and then use Akismet as a filter for Spam Karma using a plugin, then you get the benefit of both worlds, and hardly any work maintaining comments, and no problems with false positives.
I exchange Technorati favorites with all my readers, and output the RSS feed from my Technorati favorites on my front page, which helps people with spidering and the occasional link in Technorati
