I agree sound quality is a must. I’m dealing with a severe hearing loss so sound quality for me is an absolute must, with no foreign accent. With that said I too prefer e-books rather than videos. Most videos are a nightmare to the hearing impaired.

When it comes to online videos, sound quality is the most important factor. I think you can get away with average video quality but if the sound quality is poor people won’t put up with it even if the content is important to them.

Personally, I also prefer e-books than vids. I agree on your point that they don’t provide resources unlike e-books, they can give you a wide range for researches.

I agree that those internet marketing videos are sort of annoying and mostly all the same, but I think some people have made some nice ones that actually have a nice twist. Great Article!

There are a number of internet marketing videos that have been produced with superior quality. When done properly, internet marketing videos can prove to be essential marketing tools that can help dissimenate information thus increasing awareness of viewers on products and services being offered. Overall,I think internet marketing videos are even less intrusive as compared to televison advertisements.

Most of what you say is correct. However, it doesn’t have to be that way. If the video maker is skillful, he will make sure to eliminate many of the problems you describe.
There is no excuse for bad lighting, obvious box checking, long pauses, or poor efforts at getting to the point. An video maker with some desire and training can eliminate these problems by using a good video editor such as Sony Vegas Video software.
Next, if the video maker is intelligent, he will write a synopsis of what is covered in the video in the text that accompanies the video. That is searchable, of course.
Videos are portable. There is free software on the web that will allow you to capture YouTube and the like videos to your hard drive.
As far as urls being too short or too long, that is handled by good editing, again.

haha gotta love “why I hate” blog posts. Yeah a lot of those videos are so general and I think that’s becuase internet marketing through streaming videos is still fairly new. I think we’ll see more niche videos that are well produced in the future.
