John Chow Review

Well, I have decided to join the throngs of people that have reviewed John Chow dot com, since a new link to my site is always nice, besides I think its a worthy site for those that desire to make money online, such as myself and you (if you are not interested in making money, why are you reading this… You have way too much time on your hands).

Design wise, his blog is fairly unremarkable, with a very plain template, but the real meat, as always is in the posts. All of his posts are written in a conversational, easy to read and follow style.

There are several types of posts you will find on John Chow’s Blog

• The Review Posts – When John Chow started the review thing, I am not sure if he expected the response he has received by now. Almost every day, he posts a list of ten blogs that have reviewed his, and the reviews give no sign of stopping. The actual review lists are actually very usefull, since the blogs that he links to tend to be of a high quality. I have found some very worthwhile blogs from his review listings.
• Paid Reviews – Despite being sponsored, John’s reviews are very in-depth and usefull, and worth the read.
• Internet Marketing - The main reason why I read the blog. He provides  alot of information in an easily digestible format, while still coming up with new ideas every now and then
• Food - It appears John is something of a gourmet. I generally skip through those posts, mainly because I am trying to lose weight, and don’t have time to eat out. They are just too depressing for me!
• Other - John aslo speaks about his personal life, as well as generally cool stuff he finds on the internet

As you can see from the above list, John’s blog covers a lot of subjects. The popularity of his blog contradicts the conventional wisdom that in order to have a succesful blog, it must be tightly focused. In my estimation, it is worth a read.
