Too Many Ideas
I have a problem… I have too many ideas.
I am constantly coming up with new ideas for businesses and sites, but I do not have the time or the resources to develop all of them. I try to note them all down as they come to me, but they still come faster than I know what to do with them.
So, any suggestions what to do with “idea overload”? It seems a shame to just let them sit on harddrive.

Yes, this is my same problem. Here’s what I do, or have learned to do anyway. You need focus. Unless you’re super-rich and have time to play, you need to focus one the ones that have the best chance at revenue.
The #1 thing you can do today is write a list of your ideas all out on paper, then look at that list and pick 2 to focus on for a month. Don’t throw out the list, keep it growing, but promise yourself you won’t work on anything else on the list until one of the other ones is done.
A good first step. Good luck.
Good advice, Jim… I guess my problem has always been that I get distracted by another project before one is finished/properly under way (some projects are blogs, which will never be finished, almost by definition).
That’s what I am actually trying to do at the moment, limit myself to a couple of projects , and just note other ideas that come to me.
I suffer this problem to, the trouble is I usually follow through on them to rapidly and then realise their rubbish.
I like jims suggestion, I think maybe a slight deviation would be to write the idea down, if it still looks good in a month then try and work on it further.
